Native American Drum
This drum was made out of a section of a log that I found. It had been naturally hollowed out via insects and rotting. The edge was still kept intact, and strong enough to support the leather strips that held the head on.
Hand Drum
This drum is made out of almost a clay bowl with a handle attached. The handle is hollow, allowing the sound to reverberate through and out.
Udu
This drum is intended to have two holes and a reverberation chamber. You beat on the hole on the lower chamber, and can modify the pitch using the top "chimney" hole.
Turtle Whistle
This simple whistle was formed to look like a turtle. It plays pretty well, but could definitly used some fine-tuning and skill I didn't have. As of yet, its the favorite thing I've made of clay yet.
